There is a 17 mutations of the Roseicollis,
Roseicollis exist in the nature in one color which is the wild color form,
in capativity its produced a 17 mutations which are:( i am using the standard name, im going to put the pervious names just to make transfering to the new naming easier)
Instead of describing each mutation im going to put a picture for it basically(means one mutation only not mixing between more than one mutation to avoid confusin)
Dominant Pied
Aqua
Pallid
INO
Pale Fallow
Bronze Fallow
Cinnamon
Dark Factor
Violet Factor
Terquise
Orange Face
Pale Headed
Dilute
Edged Dilute
Recessive Pied
Opaline
one of the most confusing point for a novice breeder or even an expert breeder is the mixing between mutations, which sometimes lead to unclear bird which hardly can be identified, what i want to make it clear here there is a different between the mutation and mixing between mutations, sometimes a mix of two mutations have its own name which suppose to be avoided something like mastard name which mean a pallid bird with double dark factors or cinnamon bird with double dark factor, similar namings should be avoided.
for more description for each mutation im highly recommend visiting Lovebird's expert Mr Dirk Van Den Abeele site: http://agapornis.be
